DESCRIPTION
This design project is about empowerment.
You will identity an audience who, if presented with information, will be beneficially empowered. Then you will design an innovative visual communicator which will help accomplish that task.
The final design will be expressive of the information, experiential for the viewer and audience, and impactful to them in an empowering way.
The project will not only be conceived and determined by you, but also planned, organized, researched, scheduled, written, designed, fabricated and presented—completely by you.
SCHEDULE
The proposed initial project schedule is as follows:
Project Launch T: 1/14
Project Parameters TH: 1/16
Project Development TH-T: 1/16 thru TH- 2/6
In-Progress Presentation TH: 1/30
Final Project Due T: 2/13
PROCESS
Along with the usual design process and artifacts required by any design project, you will be responsible for the following:
• Audience Identification and Needs Research
• A Comprehensive Design Project Brief
• A Project Schedule
• Researching and Compiling Needs Information and Fulfillment Content
• An Audience Persona
• Complete Design Process including –
- Creative Conceptual Development
- Appropriate Visual Research
- Design Development Rough and Comprehensive Prototypes
- A Final Design Solution
• A Comprehensive Class In-Progress Critique
• A Prototype Presentation/Interview with an intended Sender/Audience member
• A Final Problem-Solution Presentation to the Class
